“Arielle is a portrait that stretches out with a kind of freedom. This is one of the first drawings I made at the moment when I decided that I would take a break from street pasting in order to see what new creative forces would flow into its absence. The first thing that flowed in was the sense that I could relax and appreciate the nude form. I found a desire to create something that felt a little more intimate and open than I might otherwise, and so I started with a portrait of an old friend.” - SWOON

Arielle is adapted from a hand cut paper piece and presented as a one color silkscreen on a soft handmade Japanese Mulberry paper with natural deckles on all four sides. This print is over 3 feet wide, making it one of the physically largest print editions Swoon has done, giving it a beautifully strong presence in a room.
