"One of my favorite moments in all of New York City life is when two subway cars pass each other and you get flickering glimpses of the passengers in the other car. The staggering light and shadows, the clanking of the cars, and the sense of peering into some far off experience which is also exactly like your own; it’s so particularly to this city. I’ve lived here for all of my adult life. I’ve travelled everywhere in the world, and yet despite all the ways that New York seems to try to drive you crazy on purpose, there’s still no place like it in the world. Its energy still instigates and fuels every stage of my creative evolution. Its grit still keeps me on my toes. These prints are pocket sized love letter to my chosen home town.”
